Capitals sign Milan

05 February 2016

Edinburgh Capitals have signed Canadian forward Garrett Milan.

Milan is a 24 year-old Left Wing and he joins the Capitals after spells with Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák and Debreceni HK in Hungary where he registered 29 points in 39 games in the MOL Liga.

This is his first year of pro-hockey; prior to this season he represented St. Cloud State University in NCAA.

Riley Emmerson said, "Garrett is a small quick feisty competitive player. He is looking for a chance to prove himself for next season. He will bring a boat load of speed to our line up. He is also a player who will lay it on the line every shift. I look forward to seeing him in a Caps uniform.”

Garrett is expected to be in the line-up for the games this weekend.

Capitals continue to look to identify players to join the club to replace Brandon Coccimiglio, who has returned to Canada to recuperate from his season ending groin injury, player-coach Riley Emmerson who is recovering from a broken arm, and Jacob Johnston who is recovering from a knee ligament tear. It’s possible, but unlikely that neither Emmerson nor Johnston will play again this year.
