Capitals update 22/11/17

22 November 2017

First, thanks to you our fans for your support last weekend, and in recent weeks. We understand this is a difficult period.

Unfortunately due to a family issue (health) Marek Tvrdon has been released from his contract at his request. He needs to be living and playing close to home at this time and he departs with our well wishes. For the club this presents another challenge, which we will seek to address.

Last weekend it was great to see the Capitals support back the team against Coventry Blaze last Sunday. With a squad at near full strength the players beat a Blaze side that were on a good run of form going in to the game. We know there is work to do and we need to build on that win. We’re working hard this week in the lead up to the weekend when we play Braehead Clan on Saturday (Away) before the visit of Dundee Stars here at Murrayfield on Sunday, 6pm face off.

Off ice we’ll keep you posted on developments at the appropriate time and as soon as we are able, but to be clear focus at the club is on supporting Head Coach Dmitri Khristich as he looks to build on last weekend.

We’ll provide an injury update going in to the weekend. We acknowledge this is a testing period but please back the squad this weekend as we focus on picking up four points, and a second home win in a row as we take on the Stars on Sunday.
