The Capitals have signed 6ft 2" and 209lb Finnish forward Patrik Moisio and the player will make his debut in Belfast tonight when the Capitals take on the Giants.
The player will bring an edge to the Capitals forward line and is someone who plays the game physically and will certainly bring an aggressive element to the Caps roster.
Moisio, who is from Turku in Finland, was a Bronze medal winner with the Finland U-18 team in 2009-2010 and has played 86 games in the top tier of the Finnish game, the Liiga. As recently as 2015-16 Moisio played 44 times for TPS Turku in the Liiga and also iced in 9 Champions Hockey League games, so brings experience playing at the top of the European game.
This season Moisio made his debut in the EIHL with Coventry Blaze but following his departure from the Midlands club this month the Capitals moved quickly to sign the player. Moisio brings a new dimension to the Capitals line up and as soon as the forward indicated he was available the club moved quickly to acquire him.
Patrik is looking forward to making his debut tonight in Belfast.
With the signings of Moisio and fellow forward Podzins joining netminder Tyler Beskorowany over the past week the club is continuing to strengthen.
The Capitals welcome Patrik Moisio to the club.
