Doubles from Danick Gauthier and Shayne Stockton helped Fife Flyers on their way to a 6-2 home win over Edinburgh Capitals.
Hot on the heels of their comeback win over Nottingham Panthers last week, Flyers followed it up with a good victory in front of their faithful support.
The Flyers were two up by the end of the first period as James Isaacs fed Carlo Finucci, who did enough to get the puck past Pavel Shegalo for the opening goal.
Gauthier finished off the second one with a terrific shot that evaded traffic in front of the crease and the visitors found themselves two down by the first break.
Shayne Stockton added a third with one-timer to make the lead even more comfortable, but it was cut to two as Nikita Kolesnikovs rifled one into the home net.
Stockton’s second and Fife’s fourth came shorthanded as Edinburgh failed to clear their lines, with the forward taking advantage.
But another from Kolesnikovs cancelled it out 20 seconds later with Flyers 4-2 up by the end of the second period.
Gauthier’s rebound all but secured the points with Evan Bloodoff adding another for good measure to complete a good night’s work for Todd Dutiaume’s side.
