Jay King continues Edinburgh Capitals Academy role

28 April 2016

Edinburgh born and bred defenceman Jay King has signed a three year extension to the Edinburgh Capitals Academy.

Martin Cingel, Capitals SNL coach said, "I am looking forward to working with Jay and to help him become a dominant British player in the country.  At 20 years of age, he is one of the youngest British players getting Elite League experience and the club is determined to help him maximize his potential.

Scott Neil said, "Jay has made good progress and needs to use the next two to three years putting in a lot of hard work, on and off the ice, to get to where we want him to be.  He has the potential but it will take a lot of good attitude, work rate and desire to become a top Brit in the League."

Jay King said, "I enjoyed the ice time I received last season and I am looking forward to progressing my career with the Capitals.  I know I have to work harder and earn more responsibility within the team.  It is a big learning curve and I am enjoying the experience but I am determined to get the right results."
