THE SCOTTISH ELITE CUP – EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Scottish Elite Cup is here! Fans from all over Scotland will march to Murrayfield Ice Rink this weekend to support their ice hockey team hoping it will be crowned Scottish Champions as Sunday’s final brings the tournament to an end.

This is a chance to showcase our sport, to show what makes ice hockey unique and in turn, the strength of the sport in Scotland. This is our chance to show the capabilities and strengths of the teams on the ice, but also how ice hockey brings out the best in fans and deserves its image as a true family friendly sport.

Here’s everything you need to know about the weekend – let’s make this a hugely successful event!

Ticket Sales – we have Weekend, Day or Single game tickets available.You can buy Weekend or Day tickets online at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/edinburghcapitals, or all three types on the day at the Box Office. NOTE: PLEASE keep your ticket accessible at ALL times as you may be asked to produce it at any point.

Weekend (4 games): Adult - £54 / Concession - £38 / Child - £28
Individual Day prices (2 games): Adult - £30 / Concession - £22 / Child - £17
Single Game: Adult - £18 / Concession - £13 / Child - £9 

(please note -there is no Family ticket option)

Rink Entrances – if you have an e-ticket then please access the rink via the middle three entrances at the rink. For ticket sales on the day please access the rink via the Box Offices at the far left (cash) or far right (cash AND card) entrances.

Bar – the Riversdale Bar at the rink will be open from 1pm. Please be aware this will only be accessible from WITHIN the rink so you will need to have your ticket ready to enter the rink and then bar. For those attending the second game only on each day, entry to the rink and therefore bar will be accessible at the culmination of game one on each day.

Match Night Programme/Signings – an Elite Scottish Cup programme with content provided by all four clubs will be available for just £3. In addition to all the details you need on the competing teams there are also pages per club with space to autograph hunt - at various times players will available to sign autographs, you'll see them at the stairs by the entrance to bar in the rink.

Random searches may be carried out throughout the weekend and please be aware no food or drink will be allowed to be brought in to the premises. 

Entertainment – there will be lots of prizes available throughout the weekend. You can take part in Chuck A Puck, Hockey Hot Shots and buy 50/50 tickets and shirt raffle tickets where a winner will be drawn during each individual game. Please keep an eye on the Edinburgh Capitals Social Media for winning numbers/winners – winning numbers will also be displayed IN the rink and over the PA system. 

Prizes over the weekend have been donated by fantastic sponsors of all four clubs with the likes of a night at a the Holiday Inn, situated at the zoo (B&B), a meal for two at the Maybury Casino, a £50 voucher for Cold Blooded Sports, and Cineworld vouchers all up for grabs amongst others!

There will also be free face painting (in the skate hire room) each day before the first game and inbetween games. Also kids can pick up a copy of our free kids Quiz over the weekend at either box office and return once completed or before 4:30pm on Sunday. Winners will announced during the final warm-up and prizes can be collected at the box office. In the skate hire room there will also be a small air-hockey table that kids can have a game of before the first game and inbetween games.

Seating – ALL seats are allocated, so please make sure you sit in your ticketed seat. Once the games begin you may move if other seats are available, but you may be asked to move if the person the seat is allocated to arrives later.

Edinburgh Capitals vs Braehead Clan - Semi Final 2 – (Face off 5.30pm)

Sunday 10th September:
Third place Play-off match – (Face off 3pm)
Scottish Elite Cup Final – (Face off 6.30pm)
