Edinburgh born left winger Sean Beattie is in his fifth as a member of the Elite League Capitals squad.
Beattie worked up through the Junior ranks at Murrayfield before graduating in to the Capitals SNL side in 2011. In 2012-13 the forward began to split his time between SNL and Elite league but remained a key part of the treble winning SNL side of 2013-14 (9 goals and 10 assists in 15 SNL games). He was to move permanently in to the Elite League squad the following season.
Last season saw him given increased ice time and he was to score his first Elite League goals (3). As he enters his 3rd season at Elite League level Beattie will be seen as someone who can use his natural size and strength to good effect.
Coach Michal Dobron said “Sean is a good young player and he’s getting better each year. He’s a big player physically and as a young local player I want to help him develop further. He’s going to be another important player for us in 2016/17.”
