Lynch Is Back For Year 3

10/05/2024

Edinburgh Capitals are delighted to announce that Steven Lynch will return for his third consecutive season as Head Coach of the club.

Fresh from SNL Play-Off glory, coach Lynch is hungry for more success in the 2024-25 campaign. He also guided the team to a Northern League triumph in what was a very successful season.

He knows this is a big summer for the club as we look to re-sign and strengthen the roster so that we can push for that elusive league title, a trophy that we came up just short of in the last two years.

Over the coming months, Lynchy will be putting his team together and talks are already underway with several players from last season.

We caught up with Steven and this is what he had to say about returning to the club. “I’m delighted to be back behind the bench here in Edinburgh for another year doing a job that I love and I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be doing it.

I think the club continued to make great strides last season. On the ice, we won our first two pieces of silverware and off the ice our great fanbase continued to grow and I’m excited to see what season 24/25 can bring.

Hopefully, this year, with two or three additions to our team we can take the club to the next level. Coming runners-up in the league two years in a row is nothing to be ashamed of but it’s not where we want to finish and we will be going all out to finish one spot higher this time.

I’ll be working hard throughout the summer putting the roster together to give you all a team that you’ll be proud to come to Murrayfield week after week to support.

I’m looking forward to September already. See you all soon.

‘Mon the Caps!!”

Stay tuned to our social media platforms in the weeks ahead as we announce our early signings.

LET’S GO CAPITALS!
