Head Coach Steven Lynch was delighted to present Chad Smith with a Gold Helmet and Gold Skates at training this week. This presentation marks Chad’s remarkable achievement of scoring over 50 points this season.
Chad hit the half-century a number of weeks ago and as a club we wanted to show our appreciation.
Chad said, “It has been a great season for me personally, but I need to thank my linemates and the rest of the team. It’s a very nice touch from the club to present me with the gold helmet and skates and I will wear them with pride.”
Coach Lynch commented “Chad has led the way this season both on and off the ice. His points contribution has been massive and we are delighted to honour this with the personalised Helmet and Skates. Hopefully, Chad can bring us some magic tonight wearing them as we look to turn this tie around and make the Final Four weekend.”
At present Chad has scored 32 goals and 25 assists for 57 points!
Chad will wear the helmet and skates tonight against Kilmarnock Thunder and next week should we progress to the Play-Off weekend.
