Edinburgh Capitals are delighted to announce that the iconic duo of Jim & Chips will be returning for the 2026-2027 season.
Announcer Jim Gourlay and DJ Fraser “Chips” Haddock have been at the heart of the match night experience at Murrayfield Ice Arena for many years, creating the atmosphere that Capitals fans know and love.
At the end of the 2024-2025 season, both stepped away from the DJ box due to other commitments. While Jim returned whenever he could, there was no denying that their absence left a huge hole in the match night atmosphere throughout last season.
Now, with Chips back and fully committed alongside Jim, one of the club’s most popular duos is reunited. Their energy, passion and enthusiasm are guaranteed to bring another level to the Lions’ Den and make every home game an unforgettable experience.
We certainly missed seeing the pair dancing away in the DJ box, and we’re looking forward to seeing them throwing some shapes once again this season! The DJ box may have moved slightly following the extension of the changing rooms, but don’t worry – you’ll still be able to see the boys in full flow.
Head Coach Steven Lynch is assembling an exciting squad on the ice, and these two additions off the ice are just as important. Jim and Chips are a huge part of what makes a Capitals game so special, and we can’t wait to hear the music pumping, the crowd singing and the Lions’ Den rocking once again.
