Edinburgh Capitals are delighted to announce our “Caps Against Cancer” campaign that will run throughout the 2023-24 season.
All players, management, backroom staff, and supporters, we would love you to take part in the various events we have planned.
Starting us off for the “Caps Against Cancer” campaign will be – Movember. For the full month of November, the team, management, and backroom staff will be growing their moustaches. We would also love all the fans to get involved and have them on show each week at the rink.
Cancer has touched everyone’s life at some point and it is such a terrible disease that rips through many people’s families leaving devastation. As a club, we aim to raise as much money as possible that we can then donate in the hope of helping people fight the disease. There will be monthly focuses on different cancers to raise money for a different cancer charity each month.
Caps Team Manager, Jim Paterson will be spearheading this campaign and he had this to say, “This was something we all spoke about at the very first session and recently the guys agreed that we would focus on cancer.
Cancer unfortunately touches us all and we want to show our appreciation for the work cancer charities have done and continue to do to support our families and friends. The campaign will run for the whole season and we will have a different focus every month.
The support has been amazing in getting behind the team, we would love them to get behind the guys once again in the Caps Against Cancer campaign.”
We know you Caps fans will get right behind this like you do with everything else. We honestly believe we have the best set of fans and once again you will show this.
