Edinburgh Capitals are delighted to announce the return of Pawz the Lion for the 2024-25 SNL campaign.
Pawz the coolest and friendliest mascot in the league will be back to entertain all you fans throughout the season. From what we have heard Pawz has been working hard through the summer months to practice his dance moves. We can’t wait to see him in action and throwing shapes to Jim & Chips tunes during breaks in play.
He will be on hand at games for fist bumps, cuddles, photos, and basically anything fun. It has been hard to track Pawz down during the summer as with the ice being lifted at the Lion’s Den he always goes missing.
When we finally did catch up with the loveable lion he had this to say on his return. “I’m so happy to be back in the Den for another season. It’s been a long summer without hockey, but I’ve kept busy by taking a wee trip to Blackpool and then volunteering as an emotional support animal at the Olympics.
I can’t wait to see all those familiar faces coming through the doors at MIA and I’m looking forward to seeing plenty of new ones too!
I’m absolutely certain we’ll enjoy another season of great hockey and plentiful silverware together in the 24/25 campaign…
See you soon!”
Head Coach Steven Lynch knows the importance of having Pawz in the lineup. “Pawz has been a mainstay with the team over the years and it was a no brainer to bring him back once again. We did have talks with Clangus from Glasgow Clan about a possible move but we felt we had to have the best, and the best is Pawz as you all know.
The players and I will be working hard with Pawz this season in the hope he can perform better dance moves and bring that energy to the Lion’s Den for you fans.
With Pawz on the roster we know our team will be feared, well unless he is bribed by some treats from opposition players and fans.”
Make sure you say hello to Pawz through the season. He loves meeting our loyal and great fan base and he also loves interacting with the away supporters, making it a great hockey experience for everyone here at the Lion’s Den.
LET’S GO CAPITALS!
