Robo Remains A Cap

Edinburgh Capitals are excited to announce the return of forward Aaron Robertson for the 2025-2026 SNL campaign.

Last season, Aaron posted 6 goals and 11 assists, icing in 35 games. Since the clubs return in 2022, Robo has played in a total of 104 games, scoring 31 goals and 58 assists for a total of 89 points.

27 year old Aaron has been around the SNL for over a decade, and his experience will play a big part throughout the upcoming season. Having grown up in the Kirkcaldy Junior system and with a hockey family background, he progressed through the years, also representing Scotland at all age groups.

He played here at Murrayfield in his final year of junior for the U20s before stepping up to the Caps Elite League team in 2017-18. He would play 34 games in the EIHL and gained valuable experience training with some top imports at that time.

A year with Murrayfield Racers, then a season with Dundee Comets, saw him return home to Kirkcaldy Kestrels after the pandemic. In that season of 2021-22, he went on to lift the SNL League title along with a few of his current Caps teammates.

Returning for his 3rd year, Robo said, “I’m happy to be back for another season. Last season was a disappointing finish based on what we knew we could achieve.

“I’m looking forward to righting those wrongs this year, and we are hoping to put on a show for the Caps faithful.

“The team is coming together nicely, and it won’t be long until we are back on the ice.”

Head Coach Steven Lynch is delighted to have such a highly intelligent hockey player like Aaron back in the line-up. “Another player returning for year 4 with the club only further highlights how much players enjoy playing here.

“Aaron is a player who can add a bit of creativity when it’s needed and, like I’ve said before, can often see things on the ice when the puck’s on his stick that others can’t.

“He’s been an important part of our team over the last 3 seasons, and I expect that to be the case again this year.”

A few spots remain, and they will be announced in the near future.
