The countdown is now well and truly on for Hogmanay Hockey here at Murrayfield Ice Arena. Your Edinburgh Capitals will take on North Ayrshire Wild at 2pm on Wednesday 31st December, with two vital league points up for grabs.
Last year we had an amazing 2500 fans in the building, this year we are aiming to SELL OUT the Lion’s Den! Bring along your family, your friends, even your work colleagues, and show them just what hockey here in Edinburgh has to offer.
It’s a chance to kick-start your New Year’s celebrations in style. You can even stay on afterwards for a free skate as soon as the teams leave the ice.

Head Coach Steven Lynch and the team always look forward to this fixture over the festive period, and he said, “The Hogmanay game is a big favourite of the players and an afternoon game in a busy Murrayfield is a great way to start the New Year’s Eve celebrations.
“The last 3 years we have had some great attendances for this game, which have grown year on year. This year, we’re looking to do something that has possibly never been done – we’re going to try and sell out Murrayfield Ice Arena.
