Edinburgh Capitals are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward Conner McNulty for the 2026-2027 SNL campaign.
Conner has signed on for his second season here as a Capitals player and the club are delighted to have him back on board. Last term he played in 38 games scoring 21 goals, 22 assists for a total of 43 points.
A very skilful forward who gets the fans off their seats every time he gains speed and heads up the ice. His smooth hands in front of the net saw him grab many highlight reel goals, and we hope for more of the same this upcoming year.
Having previously played in the NIHL 1 with Billingham Stars, Conner decided to make the switch to the SNL last summer. He was a player we already knew very well from when he was part of an impressive Kilmarnock Thunder team several years ago.
The 21-year-old grew up in the Kilmarnock junior system before progressing into senior hockey with the Thunder. He then had spells at Solway, Widnes, and Peterborough before arriving in Billingham in 2024-2025. He would go on to win the quadruple that season with the Stars, and winning seemed to follow him as he won the double with us last term.
Conner has also represented Scotland at the junior level and was part of the Great Britain U18 team back in 2022-2023. On his return, he had this to say, “It’s a great feeling being back in Edinburgh, it’s an excellent group here with an even better fanbase. It truly is a pleasure to play in front of the passionate fans we have week in, week out.
“Last year was definitely a success from our point of view, but we are not satisfied. With the league getting better and better, we all know nothing is guaranteed, and I’m prepared to give it my all again to bring trophies back to the fans here in Edinburgh.
“Enjoy the rest of the off-season, and I will see you all in September.”
Head Coach Steven Lynch knows that Conner is another key signing for the upcoming campaign, “I thought that Conner came to us last year and did a very good job. He was a good fit within the group and gave us extra scoring depth that we needed up front.
“Conner brings an exciting style of play and a good offensive skill set to the team which the fans enjoy watching. He also takes a lot of pride in his game and is constantly looking to improve.
“Everyone associated with the club is delighted that he’s back with us for another year, and we’ll be looking for him to kick on with us in year two.”
The signings are coming thick and fast; more will follow very shortly.
LET’S GO CAPITALS!
