Edinburgh Capitals are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward Cameron Gallagher for the 2026-2027 SNL season.
Cammy returns for his fifth season with the Capitals after featuring in 38 games last campaign, registering four goals and six assists for a total of 10 points.
Never one to shy away from the physical side of the game, Cammy also picked up 33 penalty minutes, dropping the gloves on several occasions. His fearless attitude and willingness to stand up for his teammates make him a valuable part of the Capitals lineup.
A product of the Murrayfield junior system, Cammy made the step in to senior hockey ahead of the 2022-2023 season and has been a member of the Capitals roster ever since. Always ready to answer the call, he continues to give everything for the club whenever he pulls on the jersey.
Speaking about returning for another season, Cammy said, “I’m really excited to be back playing for the Edinburgh Capitals this year and can’t wait to get back out in front of our amazing fans.
“Every game, they’re incredibly loud and truly are our sixth man on the ice. They played a huge part in our success last season, and we can’t wait to hear that roar in the Lion’s Den.
“I’m also looking forward to getting back on the ice with all the boys. Hopefully we can hit the ground running, play hard and fast from the start, and challenge for all three trophies this season. See you all in a few months!”
Head Coach Steven Lynch said, “Cammy has made great strides in the last 4 years and improved year on year since we got back together. He brings a great work ethic and a bit of grit whenever he’s on the ice. His ice time increased last season from previous years, which is testament to how hard he’s worked at his game.
“We want Cammy to continue to improve and continue to push for more ice time and he has the desire and will to do so. Even with a deeper bench this season, we still think Cammy will have a big part to play as the year goes on.”
Cammy is another piece of the jigsaw, with just a few roster spots remaining ahead of the new campaign.
